Airport, Etc.

On 3/6/05, Jill, her mother and I wandered southern Illinois.

The first stop was the MidAmerica airport - an airport that was built several years ago but never appeared to be in use.

The main terminal. Jill and her mother prove it is not a model.

A building for cargo is still under construction nearby.

There aren't any planes here.

I wouldn't have guessed this would have mattered then.

Like I said - there aren't any planes here.

There aren't any people here. When was the last time you saw an airport without ANY PEOPLE?

We did find one person - Jill's mother was brave enough to talk to her. Seems she's the station manager for the airline, but she is still a PART TIME EMPLOYEE. She also claimed that they have flights out every other day, and one even landed earlier in the day but we missed it. SURE IT DID.
