On 6/5/2010, Jill, Janet and I made our way down to the rendezvous held at Fort de Chartres, near Prarie du Rocher, IL.
On the way down, we went on a short tangent to Steppig Road. A pond had
ducks and geese there.
We continued on, and saw people performing railroad track maintenance with lots of
special equipment.
We stopped at Rock City, an old salt mine, for a few photos. We hadn't seen this tunnel
before — it had some sort of digger's scoop at the end.
The mine tunnel entrances are large.
There were thistles...
...and stands of Queen Anne's Lace there, too.
