We've barely started and our rental car is already dusty.
Next stop - Sunset Crater. Not a crater due to a meteor but a crater due to a volcano. Here's
some basalt from the base of Sunset Crater extruded circa 1180 AD. That's not all that long ago to have
an erupting volcano in the area.
There is a self-guided walking path around the crater. Here's some scenery from that path.
There were some interesting plants and animals too.
